Bahraini Ambassador to Republic of France Meets Mahdi Al Mosawi

At a meeting in Paris on 7 August 2017, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ghafar Abdullah, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of France met Mr. Mahdi Al Mosawi, the first technical advisor seconded from the Middle East Region to the International Association of Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), headquartered in Paris. Al Mosawi works for Middle East Navigation Aids Services (MENAS) in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Bahraini Ambassador received from Al Mosawi a copy of the 'Maritime Buoyage System and other Navigation Aids' booklet which he had contributed to in translating it to Arabic - an initiative sponsored by MENAS. The Booklet is heavily relied on by all Port Authorities, by companies that provide marine aids services and by marine societies. It will be circulated to all Arab member states in the IALA Organisation (IALA).

Dr. Abdul Ghaffar appreciated the achievements of Bahraini youths who continue their contribution to the different fields in the Kingdom of Bahrain and overseas to confirm the Kingdom's standing and to promote its presences in all International forums. He also praised the efforts of Al Mosawi during the period of his delegation to IALA, with particular focus being placed on his contribution of translating the IALA Maritime Buoyage System and other Navigation Aids booklet to Arabic.
